A 24-year-old man was shot in Yakima on Friday evening. The Yakima Police Department reports that officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area of 900 Pleasant Avenue around 6:15 p.m. on May 24, 2024.
At the scene, officers found a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. At this time, the victim remains in critical condition.
Other police units responded to the scene to assist the investigation. Detectives responded to investigate. Details are limited at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or YPD detectives.
