A DC man is behind bars after being arrested in connection to the shootings of a man and a 5-year-old girl. The DC Metropolitan Police Department reports that Fourth District officers responded to the 4800 block of North Capitol Street for a shooting around 11:30 p.m. on April 23, 2024.
At the scene, responding officers found an adult male and a 5-year-old girl suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Carolina Regional Task Force apprehended 29-year-old Alante Partlow on May 22, 2024. Partlow was wanted on a DC arrest warrant charging him with Aggravated Assault while Armed (Gun). Detectives say the suspect and victims were known to each other.
