A Montgomery Village, Maryland man has been charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed in connection to the fatal shooting of a Salisbury, Maryland man. The DC Metropolitan Police Department reports that detectives announced an arrest in the shooting that happened inside a restaurant in the 1300 block of U Street Northwest.
Around 1:12 a.m. on April 27, 2024, officers in the aforementioned area heard gunshots and responded to the restaurant. At the scene, officers found a man inside the restaurant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. MPD has identified the victim as 43-year-old Kenneth Goins of Salisbury, Maryland. On May 22, 2024, 40-year-old Robert Lowe was arrested by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Lowe is charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
