A man is in custody following an early morning stabbing in Planada, California. The Merced County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to Gage Street in Planada for an assault with a knife.
At the scene, deputies located the victim who reported he had been stabbed by the suspect. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect has been identified as Victor Villalobos.
Villalobos was taken into custody and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
