Valdosta Police searching for three Valdosta residents wanted for murder

The Valdosta Police Department has obtained arrest warrants for three men in connection to the murder of a 15-year-old on Saturday night. VPD warns locals that the men should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees them is urged to call 911 immediately. Around 11:48 p.m. on May 18, 2024, VPD officers responded to a parking lot at Scott Park around the 1101 block of Old Statenville Road for a report of a shooting.

At the scene, police found a 15-year-old boy unresponsive with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. On May 20, VPD detectives obtained arrest warrants for three men on charges of Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.

VPD is searching for 17-year-old Jamar Rashad Wimbush, 17-year-old Tyrell Bolden, and 16-year-old Lutravis Hester.
