Off-Duty Houston police officer Adan Lopez arrested following crash

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an off-duty Houston police officer following a crash. MCSO reports that deputies responded to the 22000 block of FM 1314 in Porter for a single vehicle roll-over crash around 2 a.m. on May 18, 2024.

At the scene, deputies met with the vehicle’s occupants who were in the back of an ambulance receiving treatment. MCSO says it was determined that the driver, Norma Miranda Estrada, was intoxicated.

Estrada was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The passenger, Adan Lopez, was identified as an off-duty Houston police officer. MCSO says Lopez refused to comply with instructions and interfered with the investigation.

Lopez was arrested for Interfering with Public Duties and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.
