A person has died in a collision on Backwoods Road in Chesapeake, Virginia. The Chesapeake Police Department is currently investigating the crash. CPD reports that officers responded to the 4600 block of Backwoods Road for a report of a single vehicle crash around 7:20 p.m. on May 15, 2024.

CPD says an adult male driver was the only occupant of the vehicle. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. CPD’s Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to investigate the collision. No other details are available at this time.
