A 16-year-old has been charged in the murder of a 13-year-old girl in Raleigh, North Carolina. According to the Raleigh Police Department, the shooting happened in the 1900 block of North Hills Drive around 2:36 a.m. on April 22, 2024. Once officers reached the scene, they found a 13-year-old girl suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot.
The victim succumbed to her injuries. In an update on April 24, 2024, RPD confirmed an arrest had been made in the case. A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with murder on petition and taken into custody. No other details are available at this time.
