One man is dead following a fatal shooting on I-20 in Greenwood. In a social media post, Sheriff Jay Long with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said that detectives are investigating a shooting that left one deceased on I-20 in Greenwood.
This morning around 10:15, two drivers were observed arguing outside of their vehicles on the westbound onramp at Exit 3. Witnesses report that one was driving an 18-wheeler while the other individual was driving a dark-colored SUV.
Detectives believe their argument may have stemmed from a road rage incident. CPSO says the driver of the 18-wheeler was seen attempting to flee on foot before he was fatally shot by the driver of the SUV. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the SUV fled westbound on I-20 towards Texas. CPSO confirms Harrison County officials have been informed of the vehicle’s description. No other details are available at this time.
