An adult female is deceased following a hit-and-run traffic collision in Pomona, California. In a news release, the Pomona Police Department said officers responded to the area of Towne Avenue and Monterey Avenue for a hit and run traffic collision around 8:43 p.m. on April 22, 2024.
At the scene, responding officers found a pedestrian lying in the roadway of Towne Avenue suffering from severe injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The victim is described as a Hispanic adult female.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene and has yet to be located by authorities. The Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation team is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police Department’s Traffic Services Bureau at 909-802-7741 or 909-620-2048.
