Port St. Lucie Police are investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred tonight. In a social media post, the Port St. Lucie Police Department confirmed that Traffic Homicide Investigators are on the scene of an accident at US Highway 1 near Walton Road.
The preliminary investigation suggests a 27-year-old on a motorcycle was traveling north on US1. The driver of a beige 1998 Toyota Camry was attempting to turn into East Port Plaza from South US High 1. The Camry traveled into the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to call Homicide Investigator Appelbaum at 772-871-5001.
