18-year-old Seaford man behind bars for stealing a church van on Friday morning

An 18-year-old Seaford, Delaware man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a church van early Friday morning. In a news release, the Delaware State Police announced the arrest of 18-year-old Ronald Alberts. Around 1:51 a.m. on April 19, 2024, a trooper saw a white Dodge passenger van swerving on Concord Road in the area of Church Road near Seaford.

The trooper stopped the van and spoke to the driver who was identified as Ronald Alberts. DSP says a computer check confirmed that the van belonged to a local church. Authorities contacted a representative of the church and confirmed it had been stolen from the church parking lot.

Alberts was taken into custody for stealing the church van. He is charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, Driving Without a Valid License, and Numerous Traffic Offenses.
