A 12-year-old on a dirt bike was seriously injured in a hit and run crash in Port St. Lucie. Tonight, the Port St. Lucie Police Department said in a media post that it is investigating the hit and run crash. Around 9:32 p.m., Port St. Lucie Police Department officers and St. Lucie County Fire District personnel responded to Southwest Savona Boulevard and Southwest California Boulevard for a hit and run crash.
PSLPD said a vehicle and dirt bike were involved in the accident. Authorities say the preliminary investigation suggests that the dirt bike was traveling northbound when it struck a vehicle. Following the accident, the unknown vehicle fled the scene. The 12-year-old on the dirt bike was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries.
