The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a person of interest in connection to a homicide that occurred on April 10. The person of interest was captured on video which may help NOPD solve the crime. According to NOPD, detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in a homicide that happened in the 4100 block of South Derbigny Street.
NOPD says an unidentified black male approached an adult male victim, produced a gun, and shot him around 1:25 p.m. on April 10, 2024. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he passed away. NOPD Homicide Detectives have released pictures of the person of interest who may be able to assist in the investigation.
NOPD stresses that the subject is not wanted on criminal charges. However, they believe he may have knowledge of information pivotal to the investigation.
