The Greeley Police Department is investigating after a 4-year-old was killed after being pinned under a vehicle. In a social media post, the Greeley Police Department said that officers responded to a home in the 1800 block of 18th Avenue for a report of a traffic accident with injuries. While officers were traveling to the scene, they learned that the child was pinned under the vehicle.
Officers and EMS reached the scene before the 4-year-old child was transported to an area hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. GPD’s Investigations Unit and Traffic Unit responded to lead the death investigation. A 36-year-old woman was also injured by the same vehicle. She was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
The female victim is expected to survive. An adult female and another juvenile were not injured. GPD confirms the incident is still under investigation. At this time, there have been no arrests. There is no danger to the public.
