The Buffalo Police Department has recovered a firearm and arrested a suspect in connection to Friday’s shooting incident on Butler Avenue. According to BPD, an arrest was made on April 12 following shots fired in the 100 block of Butler Avenue. Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired at a home on Butler Avenue.
At the scene, responding Northeast District officers secured the scene. Northeast District detectives obtained a search warrant signed by the Honorable Judge Rebecca Town. BPD says it recovered a Glock 17 loaded with 10 rounds from the home.
33-year-old Hilberto Sanchez-Stokes is charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and one count of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree.
