The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death in the city of Chanhassen. According to Sheriff Jason Kamerud, the sheriff’s office received a 911 call for an unknown medical issue in the 8100 block of Audubon Road in Chanhassen, Minnesota around 3:52 p.m. on April 12, 2024.
At the scene, responding deputies located a 33-year-old St. Paul man lying on the floor in the garage area. CCSO says there was evidence suggesting a violent assault had occurred. Deputies say the victim’s parents found their son lying on the floor in the garage and immediately called 911. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death. A person of interest was identified but later found deceased at a home in Minneapolis. At this time, the person of interest’s name is being withheld pending proper identification and notifications.
