15-year-old turns himself after allegedly hitting man in the head with a skateboard

A 15-year-old assault suspect has turned himself in to authorities after allegedly hitting a man on the head with a skateboard. According to the Gresham Police Department, patrol officers responded to a report of an assault in the area of Northeast Second Street and Northeast Roberts Avenue on Sunday.

Yesterday, investigators released a photo of the suspect and asked for the public’s help identifying him. Last night around 6:30 p.m., a 15-year-old arrived at the Gresham Police Department with his parents to turn himself in.

The juvenile was booked into the Donald E. Long home on suspicion of Assault in the Second Degree. Detectives say they are still trying to identify and speak to others involved in the incident.
