The Virginia Beach Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting on Level Green Boulevard. According to VBPD, reports of shots fired in the 1200 block of Level Green Boulevard were received around 10:44 p.m. on April 5, 2024. VBPD officers responded to the scene where they found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. VBPD has identified the victim as 21-year-old Kalani Bailey-Cortez of Norfolk. Virginia Beach Police Department detectives are investigating the fatal shooting. No other details are available at this time.
