The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an 82-year-old man. According to JCSO, deputies responded to a residence in the 6900 block of Plateau Lane around 12:26 p.m. on April 2, 2024. A neighbor had called to report that an unresponsive individual was on the floor of the home.
At the scene, responding deputies found an elderly man unconscious and not breathing. The man passed away at the scene and has since been identified as 82-year-old Stanley Wills. JCSO confirms Wills was the owner of the home. At this time, JCSO is investigating the circumstances leading up to his death.
Investigators do not believe there is any threat to the public.
