The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has arrested a 43-year-old man in connection to a double fatal shooting. Around 3:25 a.m. on March 5, 2024, LVMPD received multiple reports of a shooting in the 5000 block of East Tropicana Avenue. At the scene, responding officers found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
One female victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other victims were transported to an area hospital where another female victim succumbed to her injuries. The male victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
In an update on April 2, 2024, LVMPD announced detectives were able to identify 43-year-old Jason Robert Manuel as the suspect in the shooting. Law enforcement in California apprehended Manuel on April 1, 2024. He was booked into the Riverside County Jail and is waiting for extradition to Las Vegas for Open Murder.
