Albany Police arrest mother after child consumes substance that contains THC

The Albany Police Department has arrested a mother after her child consumed a substance that contained THC. According to APD, officers responded to the 200 block of Monarch Drive for an unresponsive child on March 31, 2024. A child was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition.

Investigators arrested the mother, 23-year-old Na’Quon Hunt, on April 1, 2024. APD says it was determined that Hunt allowed the child to consume a substance that contained THC. A lab test conducted at the hospital confirmed the child had consumed THC.

Hunt has been charged with Reckless Conduct. She was booked into the Dougherty County Jail.
