The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting. Earlier today, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that CSI and Homicide Investigators were responding to a scene. An adult female was found deceased suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
In a later update, Sheriff Gonzalez reported that the victim was identified as 52-year-old Anna Iris Melendez. The victim’s son, Christopher Melendez, is charged with murder in her slaying. Authorities arrested Christopher Melendez early this morning following a pursuit.
Melendez has been booked into the Harris County Jail.
