Tarrant Police Department arrests man after he was struck with a frying pan

The Tarrant Police Department has arrested a man who was struck with a frying pan. According to TPD, officers responded to the 1400 block of Elizabeth Avenue around 8:48 p.m. on March 27, 2024 regarding a domestic disturbance involving an intoxicated man. One victim arrived at the Tarrant Public Safety Building for treatment.

TPD says victims reported that Gary Jackson arrived at the home intoxicated and began attacking individuals. At some point, he allegedly began strangling a juvenile who tried to intervene in a physical fight. When Jackson refused to stop, he was struck with a frying pan. At the scene, TPD officers found Jackson outside the residence suffering from related injuries.

Jackson was taken for treatment before being taken into custody. He is charged with Domestic Violence by Strangulation and has been booked with a $30,000 bond.
