West Chester Borough Police Department PIO Dave March said in a social media post that the police department had arrested a suspect in a recent stabbing incident. WCBPD began investigating a stabbing in the 50 block of Wilmont Mews Alley on March 24, 2024. Three victims suffered injuries and had to be transported to area hospitals for treatment.
The investigation was carried out by the police department’s Criminal Division with assistance from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. It determined that six individuals were involved in an altercation that led to the stabbing. 18-year-old Justin Piner was identified as a suspect, according to authorities.
On March 28, 2024, Piner was taken into custody and will be charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Possession of a Weapon, and more.
