The Paso Robles Police Department is investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle. According to PRPD, officers responded to a report of a large physical altercation in the 1900 block of Riverside Avenue on March 22, 2024. At the scene, responding officers located a 29-year-old male on the ground with moderate head injuries. Authorities say the victim was struck by a vehicle.

Before officers reached the scene, the suspect and suspect vehicle fled the scene. PRPD says a juvenile was contacted near the victim and was found to be in possession of an unloaded 9mm handgun that had been stolen from another state. The juvenile was arrested for being in possession of a stolen firearm.

The 29-year-old male victim was conscious and transported to an area hospital for treatment. PRPD confirms the investigation is ongoing. No other details are available at this time.
