The Baltimore Police Department has announced an arrest in a double shooting on March 19, 2024. According to a BPD social media post, officers responded to the 2300 block of East Hoffman Street for a report of a shooting around 3:19 p.m. on March 19. At the scene, responding officers found a 36-year-old male and a 24-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Homicide Detectives were notified due to the severity of one victim’s injuries. On March 21, 2024, the Warrant Apprehension Task Force apprehended 28-year-old Wayne Coleman.

Detectives believe Coleman was involved in the shooting. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged with attempted 1st-degree murder.
