The Tracy Police Department is investigating a stabbing at the Spin Cycle Laundry Mat. According to TPD, the Communications Center received multiple 911 reports of an altercation at the Spin Cycle Laundry Mat at 22 East 11th Street around 8:38 p.m. on March 20, 2024. Reports indicated that one of the involved individuals had been stabbed.
Before officers reached the scene, both involved subjects left the area. During the investigation, officers located the victim at a nearby hospital. A 38-year-old male victim from Tracy suffered multiple stab wounds. The victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
General Investigations Unit investigators responded to continue the investigation. Investigators believe the involved parties are known to each other so there is no threat to the community. TPD says 23-year-old Juan Carlos Galvan was identified as the suspect responsible for the stabbing. Galvan was taken into custody and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on March 21.
He is charged with Attempted Murder and Destroy/Conceal Evidence.
