The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest for child sexual abuse materials. According to a PCSO media release, deputies received a cyber tip that Child Sexual Abuse Material had been possessed by a subject in the county. Detectives say they identified 34-year-old Michael James Vann-Torres of Bethel as the person who possessed child sexual abuse materials.

The case evidence was presented to a magistrate who issued warrants for Vann-Torress. He is charged with 5 counts of Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Vann-Torres was apprehended on March 17 and booked into the Pitt County Detention Center.
