The Lexington Police Department is investigating a shooting earlier today. According to an LPD social media post, officers responded to the 1700 block of Gerald Drive for a shooting just before 4 p.m. on March 20, 2024. At the scene, responding officers located a male victim with at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Personal Crimes Section detectives are investigating the shooting.
