The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 15-year-old in connection to a double shooting on February 21, 2024. The incident occurred at 138 Halsey Avenue in the Camp Croft community. The shooting resulted in the death of one victim and injuries to his cousin. Both victims were from Union, South Carolina.

The suspect is only described as a 15-year-old male juvenile who is now charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, and two counts of Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime. SCSO says the investigation determined that the victims and suspect were acquaintances.

At this time, it is unknown why the encounter became violent.
