The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Heritage Park basketball courts. According to a CPD social media post, the department received a 911 call about a shooting at the Heritage Park basketball courts around 6:50 p.m. on March 16, 2024. Minutes later, another call came from Casey’s General Store at 1230 Peachers Mill Road.

Officers learned that a female victim was at Casey’s with a gunshot wound to the leg. Before officers reached the scene, the victim was transported to Tennova Medical Center in a private vehicle. The victim is reportedly in stable condition with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

CPD is asking anyone in the area of Heritage Park to check their camera footage to see if they have captured any vehicle fleeing the area around 6:50 p.m. and to call 911. The investigation is ongoing. No additional details are available at this time.
