The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that injured a three-year-old girl. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, an altercation between two parties led to the girl being shot. She was transported to an area hospital where she is receiving treatment and is said to be in fair condition. A male was found wounded at a separate location.

The male was transported to an area hospital and is also in fair condition. It is not known whether there is a connection between the incidents. In a later update, Sheriff Gonzalez said it appears the shooting stemmed from a drug deal gone bad.
