The Baltimore Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting near North Washington Boulevard. Around 12:35 p.m. on May 2, 2023, officers were patrolling the area near the 1800 block of North Washington Boulevard when they heard gunshots coming from the rear alley.

At the scene, responding officers found an unidentified male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. On March 12, 2024, BPD announced it had arrested 18-year-old Isiah Peay of Baltimore in connection to the shooting.

Isiah Peay is accused of shooting the 21-year-old victim while in the 1800 block of North Chapel Street. An arrest warrant was obtained on March 8, 2024. Hours later, Peay was located in the 3200 block of Belair Road and taken into custody on a charge of attempted first-degree murder.
