The Bullhead City Police Department has announced an arrest after a man allegedly had powder Fentanyl in the presence of a 6-year-old child during a traffic stop. Around 12:40 a.m. on March 7, 2024, BCPD officers pulled over a vehicle for speeding near Highway 68 and McCormick Boulevard.
The driver was allegedly in possession of a bag containing approximately 3.8 grams of Fentanyl power. Police say a glass drug pipe was found on the floorboard of the vehicle. The driver’s key lanyard allegedly contained a magnetic theft detection device remover which is often used to steal merchandise.
33-year-old Danny Alberto Mata was arrested for possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, child abuse, and possession of theft detection shielding device. The car contained three female passengers and a 6-year-old boy. 31-year-old Cristina Guadalupe Ascencio was arrested on a warrant out of Bullhead City Justice Court.
