The Illinois State Police has announced the arrest of 26-year-old Eric D. Peterson of Chicago. Peterson has been charged with one count of Attempted Murder in relation to a road rage shooting. Around 12:30 a.m. on March 4, 2024, ISP was informed of an expressway shooting on southbound Dan Ryan Express Interstate 94 near 91st Street.

ISP said they managed to identify the vehicle. On March 6, 2024, the suspect vehicle was located by the Country Club Hills Police Department. The driver, Peterson, was taken into custody. ISP said a weapon was also recovered.
