The Baltimore Police Department said in a media release that it is investigating a homicide. Around 5:45 p.m. on March 6, 2024, BPD officers responded to the 4000 block of Loch Raven Boulevard to investigate a call for a shooting. At the scene, responding officers found a 29-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Officers at the scene were informed that a possible suspect had entered a residence in the 4000 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. SWAT gained entry into the residence and cleared the location, but a suspect was not located.
