The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Todd Perez in connection to a child’s death. On December 4, 2012, OCSO deputies responded to a child abuse incident at 2259 Siesta Lane in Kissimmee, Florida. A 3-year-old child sustained traumatic injuries that required surgery.

Following the 2012 investigation, Perez was charged with Aggravated Child Abuse. Perez later pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to prison. Due to the child’s injuries, they went on to develop numerous medical problems including cerebral palsy, muscle atrophy, and more, according to OCSO.

The child ultimately passed away at 10 years old on April 26, 2023. The child’s death was ruled a homicide based on the injuries inflicted by Todd Perez. On March 6, 2024, OCSO’s Homicide Unit and the United States Marshals Office arrested Perez on a warrant for Murder during Felony (Aggravated Child Abuse).
