The Danville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 600 block of Cabell Street on the evening of March 3. Just after 7 p.m., officers responded to the aforementioned location in response to a shooting of a 25-year-old male.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS. The victim was later identified as Anthony De’Wayne Ross of Danville. DPD confirmed the investigation is still ongoing. No other details are available at this time.
