The San Antonio Police Department has announced an arrest in a homicide on February 29, 2024. Around 4:30 p.m. on February 29, SAPD officers responded to a shooting in the 6900 block of Northeast Loop 410.

At the scene, officers found a deceased male on the stairwell near the entrance of his workplace. SAPD said surveillance video showed the victim walking out of the front entrance before two males approached him. The victim was apparently meeting with the suspect.

The suspects attempted to rob the victim who physically fought back. The suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim several times before fleeing. SAPD has apprehended 21-year-old Kia Dotson who is charged with capital murder.
