The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting on Saturday. Around 12:34 p.m., officers responded to a Shot Spotter alert near the intersection of North Montford Avenue and McElderry Street.

At the scene, responding officers found a 20-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his ankle in the 600 block of North Montford Avenue. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Southeast District shooting detectives responded to take over the investigation.
