The Portland Police Bureau has announced that authorities are investigating a shooting in the Kenton neighborhood. Around 7:47 p.m. on March 1, 2024, North Precinct officers responded to a shooting at a residence in the 3000 block of North Terry Street.

At the scene, officers found evidence of gunfire inside the house. PPB said in a media release that officers learned that a man had been shot and was being transported to an area hospital by a private vehicle. The man succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

Authorities say everyone believed to have been involved in the incident has been contacted by police. One man has been detained for further investigation. At this time, no suspects are being sought.
