The Vallejo Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the evening of Wednesday. Around 7:08 p.m. on February 28, 2024, VPD officers responded to a shooting near the intersection of Alabama Street and Butte Street.

At the scene, officers found an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Detective Division responded to assume control of the investigation. At this time, the circumstances and motive are under investigation.
