The Little Rock Police Department has announced an arrest in a homicide in January. According to LRPD, officers responded to 13600 Otter Creek Parkway in reference to a shooting around 1:33 a.m. on January 18, 2024. Authorities were informed that the caller heard gunshots outside building nine.

At the scene, officers found 27-year-old Owen Mitchell unresponsive in the breezeway. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. On February 15, 2024, 26-year-old Quintierous Thomas was taken into custody and charged with Capital Murder.
