The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on Vick Cemetery Road. Around 7:45 p.m. on February 14, 2024, deputies responded to a report of an assault with a firearm on Vick Cemetery Road in Conroe, Texas. At the scene, deputies found two individuals with gunshot wounds.

The victims were transported to area hospitals. One person is in stable condition. The other is in critical condition. The Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators are investigating the incident. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are not known at this time.

MCSO said the preliminary investigation indicates that the incident started as a verbal altercation and escalated into a physical confrontation. There is no immediate threat to the public.
