Seattle Police investigating after man struck in the head and shot in the leg outside his RV

Seattle Police Department detectives are investigating a non-fatal shooting in a Beacon Hill neighborhood. Just after 8 p.m. on February 7, 2024, officers responded to a gunshot victim report from the Seattle Fire Department in the 5500 block of 35th Avenue South.

At the scene, police located a 42-year-old man suffering from a head injury and a gunshot wound to the leg. The Seattle Fire Department provided medical aid before the victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

SPD said the victim stated he was outside his RV when he was approached by an unidentified suspect. During an altercation, the suspect hit the man in the head with a stick before shooting him in the leg. Following the incident, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect has not been identified. No additional information is available at this time.
