The Caldwell Police Department has announced the arrest of a 25-year-old man who is accused of stabbing a relative. Around 5:15 p.m. officers responded to a report of a welfare check in the 500 block of North 6th Avenue after a man called the police to say someone had been wounded and they were being taken to the hospital.

A short time later, a 23-year-old male victim arrived at the hospital with a stab wound. A 25-year-old man, Westen Bowen, had driven the victim to the hospital. CPD believes Bowen stabbed the victim following an argument.

CPD said the victim and suspect are related. Bowen has been charged with aggravated assault.
