The Vermont State Police announced it is investigating a suspicious death that happened on Tuesday afternoon in the town of Pownal. According to a media release from VSP, the investigation was initiated around 3 p.m. when police received a report of an altercation on Chickadee Drive.

At the scene, responding officers found an adult male deceased. VSP says the case is still in its preliminary stages. The victim’s body will be transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy. Anyone with information is asked to call the Shaftsbury Barracks at 802-442-5421.
