The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in a fatal stabbing. LVMPD officers were dispatched to a stabbing in the 400 block of East Twain Avenue around 12:45 a.m. on February 3, 2024. At the scene, officers found an unresponsive male suffering from a stab wound inside an apartment.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to authorities, the LVMPD Homicide Section investigation indicates that the victim went to a nearby store and returned to his residence suffering from a stab wound. The victim collapsed inside his apartment before a family member called 911.
Detectives say they identified the suspect as 33-year-old Cornelius Williams. They also claim they connected Williams to two separate stabbing incidents that occurred on February 3, 2024 and January 21, 2024. On February 3, 2024, Williams was taken into custody. He is charged with Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon, 2 counts of Attempt Murder with a Deadly Weapon, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
