The Ocala Police Department is on the scene of a shooting. According to OPD, officers responded to the 1700 block of Northwest 1st Street around 9:40 p.m. in reference to a shooting. At the scene, officers found a man with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPD at 352-369-7000.
